About Realms of Itheria

A fantasy roleplaying world built by players for players.

Realms of Itheria is a grid-wide fantasy roleplaying game in Second Life, inspired by Dungeons & Dragons and the best elements of other grid-wide roleplaying systems.

Itheria was created as a passion project by Syrupy and Soapy. It began with a simple statement:

“Let’s see if we can just make our own game with cookies and eggnog.”

What started as a fun experiment grew from years of experience with other systems and from frustration with projects that stopped development without explanation, placed monetization ahead of gameplay, or became closed communities where criticism and new ideas were unwelcome.

Realms of Itheria was built to offer something different: a game where development remains active, players are treated like members of a community rather than dollar signs, and constructive feedback is valued instead of silenced.

Active Development

Realms of Itheria is intended to grow, evolve, and improve through continued development and honest communication.

Players Before Profit

The game is designed to be enjoyable and sustainable without turning progression into a wallet extraction simulator.

Open Community

Constructive criticism, discussion, creativity, and differing perspectives are welcome within the community.

Realms of Itheria exists because sometimes the best response to disappointment is to build something better, with imagination, stubbornness, cookies, and eggnog.
